Concrete cover blocks (also called rebar spacers) are precision-manufactured blocks placed around steel reinforcement bars before concrete is poured. They maintain the specified distance between the rebar and the outer concrete surface, protecting the steel from moisture, chlorides, and corrosion.
What is the compressive strength of RMS cover blocks?+
RMS cover blocks exceed 60 MPa (M60 grade) compressive strength. This ensures the blocks withstand the pressure of concrete pours and vibration without cracking or displacing the reinforcement.
What does RCPT mean and what are RMS's values?+
RCPT (Rapid Chloride Permeability Test, ASTM C1202) measures resistance to chloride penetration. RMS cover blocks achieve Very Low RCPT values (under 1000 coulombs), making them essential for marine, coastal, and industrial structures.
Do you export cover blocks outside India?+
Yes. We actively export M60 grade cover blocks to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, UK, Maldives, and Southeast Asia, complete with NABL test reports and export packaging.
Are RMS cover blocks IS 456 compliant?+
Yes. All RMS cover blocks are fully compliant with IS 456:2000 cover requirements for mild, moderate, severe, very severe, and extreme exposure conditions.
Can you manufacture custom sizes or grades?+
Yes. For large infrastructure projects and export orders, we manufacture customised cover blocks in specific sizes (e.g., non-standard mm) and higher or lower grades as per structural drawings.
